History

What began in1993 as a casual interest in turning has evolved into a true appreciation for natural beauty, and a recognition that quality work takes dedication and time. Using a national circuit of fine art shows, wood turner Tom Larson has gained visibility and national acclaim, accelerating his acceptance as one of the most accomplished wood turners in the country and earning him many First and Best of Show awards. Creating vases, platters, bowls, sculpted pieces, boxes, tops and other hand turned unique items. Tom believes in looking to the wood itself for inspiration. Using the skills acquired through time and practice, he works to reveal the beauty hidden within each piece of wood he turns. Studying the aspects of wood turning as an art form, Tom takes into account the variety of wood types, grain effects and characteristics, and has studied the craft under several professional wood turners from around the world.
